Mini-Dates are...
Fast- Why spend a long and expensive blind date
with just one person, when you can have up to 20
Mini-Dates in one night for less than the cost of
one date? This saves you both time and money!
Fun- Enjoy great, 5 to 7 minute conversations in
a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We even provide a
list of questions to help your conversation flow.
Safe- Mini-Dates are comfortable and safe because
nobody is allowed to ask for your last name, number,
or for a date. Within a week, our organizers will
provide contact information to both parties who
agree.
HOW IT WORKS
- You first register for an event.
Sign up now, call us, or print out the information
and mail a check.(You must pre-register).
- An equal number of men and women
gather at a designated location. Only a limited
number of people can be accepted for each event,
so be sure to sign up early.
- Come to the event early. You'll
receive a name-tag and a "Mini-Dates"
sheet. This is where you'll write the names of
the people you meet and make a note as to whether
you would like to meet them again. Write your
first name and I.D. number you are assigned on
the top of your "Mini-Dates" sheet and
name tag. Now is a good time to mingle with other
guests.
- The host will let you know when
it's time to begin. All you have to do is sit
at your assigned table, and write the name and
number of the person you're seated with on your
"Mini-Dates" sheet, and start your conversation.
- You have 5 to 7 minutes to get
to know each other. Don't worry - on your "Mini-Dates"
sheet there is a list of topics to help you keep
the conversation going!
- After the minutes are up, the host
will ring a bell to indicate the end of your date.
Take a moment to check off whether you'd like
to exchange contact information with the person
you just met.
- For each subsequent meeting, the
men get up and move to the next table or higher
number. For example, if you are at table #1, move
to table #2.
- At the end of the event, turn in
your "Mini-Dates" sheet with the names
and I.D. #'s of the people you met and would like
to reconnect with, and if they wrote your name
down and indicated they would like to reconnect
with you too, we will send you their contact information.
Once you receive their information, you're welcome
to contact each other and set up a date!
