Friendship Exchange is the ultimate social club
for single professionals from the age of 21-65.
We offer a social environment that is upscale,
safe, non-intimidating, non-pressuring and filled
with great experiences! If it’s time for
new experiences, new people, new friendships and
new relationships – then it’s time
to join us.

We are not a dating service – we are a social
club for singles between the ages of 21-55. We
provide events from dining and social events to
outdoor and theater events that provide an ambiance
conducive to meeting other single professionals.
We provide you the opportunity to meet other singles
in a sophisticated, yet comfortable environment
– the rest is up to you.

You can join in one of four ways: 1) Click on
the Join Now section of this website and complete
the information 2) Fill out the membership form
and mail it with your check or credit card number

KS 66062 3) Fill out the form and fax it to 913.599.4811.
4) Call us at 913/492-5968 and join over the phone.

People have different reasons for joining a singles
organization; however, most people join to meet
other single professionals in a non-intimidating
and relaxed atmosphere and to add some pizzazz
to their social lives!
- What
Characteristics do your members share? top
^
Age: Our members range from 21-60 with the core
of our members in their mid 30’s to 50’s.
Careers: Members are engaged in businesses and
professions from doctors, teachers, professors,
nurses, paralegals, judges, administrators, financial
advisors, pilots, accountants, and business owners
to retailers, sales and marketing professionals,
engineers, therapists and computer specialists.

What Does Membership Cost? top

1 Year Membership is $245 to join, payable at
the time a membership commences. Members may attend
as many events as they wish. 1 Year Membership
runs for a full year from the date you join and
renews at the rate of $125 per year.
- Does
the annual membership fee include events? top
^
No. Events are charged separately and are usually
between $10 and $40. Depending on the venue and
what's offered, dining events typically run between
$25-$45; cocktail parties $10-$15; and wine tastings
$25-$50. Fees for special events such as theatre,
sporting events and travel will vary. Alcohol
may be purchased separately at all events unless
otherwise noted in our event description. Reservations
must be made in advance for each event - see individual
event for details.

do I get for my membership? top

We put a lot of time and effort into creating
wonderful events where you can enjoy yourself
and at the same time, meet a great group of single
people in your age range. Plus, the annual membership
fee gets you member pricing on events, invitations
to hard to get theater and concert tickets, benefits
offered to members by venues throughout the city,
and you have the option to be added to our On-File
Membership with The Relationship Headhunters.

many events may I attend each month? top

Members may attend as many events as they wish
on a space-available basis.
- What
if I need to cancel for an event I already signed
up for? top
^
Not a problem. We ask that you give us at least
24 hours notice for a full refund or credit to
a future event. If you do not contact us to cancel,
your event fee is not refundable.
- Can
non-members participate in Friendship Exchange? top
^
Yes. There are some events offered by Friendship
Exchange that are open to our guests. Each event
is different, so please check our calendar for
details on which events are open to guests.
- Can
I attend events by myself? top
^
Absolutely… most people do. This is your
opportunity to meet other single professionals
and we make it easy for you. We’re at the
door to greet you, help you meet others and help
you feel comfortable.

never done anything like this before. top

Most of our members haven’t before they
joined Friendship Exchange. And almost everyone
is nervous the first time. The first time is always
the hardest, but we’re there to make you
feel comfortable and welcome and our members are
terrific single people who remember what it was
like to come to their first event, and they’ll
go out of their way to help you feel at home.

do events cost? top

Depending on the venue and what’s offered,
dining events typically run between $35-$85; cocktail
parties $10-$15 for members; Wine Parties $28-$48
for members. Special events, theater events, etc.
vary depending on the price of tickets, etc. involved.
Alcohol is purchased separately and individually
at all events unless otherwise noted in our event
description.
- Why
aren’t alcoholic beverages always included? top
^
There are so many varying tastes in alcoholic
beverages that we find our members prefer to choose
and purchase their own drinks, or opt not to drink.
Our monthly newsletter describes each event and
what is included for that particular event. It
will be easy to find events that are just right
for you!
- How
do I make a reservation? top
^
Each month, members receive a newsletter via mail
or email that details the month’s events
and gives a sneak preview of the events for the
upcoming months. Members choose the events they
want to attend and either fax or mail the reservation
form to us, register via the website or email,
or call us with their reservation. Once reservations
are made and paid, all you have to do is show
up at the appointed time and place, we do the
rest!

What days of the week do events occur on? top
^
Each month we offer some events during the weekends
and some on weekday nights to accommodate the
different schedules of our many members.
- What
can I expect during a typical dinner event? top
^
A typical dining event offers 2-3 opportunities
for you to meet new friends. The first 30-45 minutes
of a dining event are set aside for our “mix
and mingle” time. When you arrive, you will
be greeted, give a nametag and introduced to other
attending members. This is a time to exchange
business cards and get to know everyone who is
at that event. At the time for dinner seating,
members move to tables. We have many fun ways
of doing our seating assignments and you’ll
always have a chance to get to know many people
during the evening. Our cocktail parties and wine
parties are total mix and mingle times where you
have an opportunity to meet everyone there, if
that is your desire. Theater events are similar
to dining events where we have a mix and mingle
time beforehand and then are taken to our seats.
Our outdoor events such as picnics, hiking trips,
etc. offer many opportunities to get to know your
fellow members.
- What
is the mix of men and women at events? top
^
Typically, we have 1 (man):2 ½ (women),
sometimes 1:1 and occasionally 1:3 or 1:4. Ratios
will vary in different age categories. If you
are looking for quality versus quantity, you will
find quality people at Friendship Exchange events.

is the dress code for events? top
^
We call it “dressy casual” or business
casual. Men should wear dress slacks and nice
shirts, women can wear dresses, skirts, and slacks
that you would typically wear to a nice work environment
or out to dinner in a nice restaurant.
