Friendship Exchange has been providing an alternative social outlet for single professionals since 1991. We are dedicated to entertaining single professionals from various backgrounds (art, architecture, finance, law, music...) and age (late twenties to late fifties).

Founder/Owner
In June 1991, Jill Ellington founded Friendship Exchange, an Introduction service and social club for singles. After becoming single herself, Ellington realized that finding high quality, relationship-minded men was a challenge. She recognized the need for a service that would help others like herself connect in a more effective, safe, and dignified way.
Thousands of clients and more than 500+ marriages later including her own, Jill Ellington has been featured in the Kansas City Star Magazine, College Boulevard News, Explore Kansas City, Evolving Woman, the Topeka Capital Journal, on several Kansas City and Topeka T.V. stations, and nationally on the Jenny Jones show.

Jill Ellington has a rich background in the human relations field and working with singles. Armed with studies in psychology and mental health, Jill worked at the Kansas Neurological Institute before becoming the founder of Friendship Exchange.

Eventually, Jill Ellington started another business called The Relationship Headhunters an introduction and personal search service, and Friendship Exchange became solely a dining and social club for singles. Friendship Exchange has expanded into one of the largest social clubs in the Midwest with a variety of ways for singles to meet from progressive dinners, dinners for six, mini-dates, to several special events throughout the year.
